The noodles are delightfully chewy, the wontons have thin wrappers with generous fillings, and the broth is sweet and savory. Though slightly pricier than other places, it’s truly made with quality ingredients.

I was dining alone on a busy Sunday, and I really appreciate that they have dedicated booths for solo diners. I ordered the prawn roe noodles with a mix of dumplings and wantons. First, let’s talk about the noodles. They pride themselves on using duck eggs to make the noodles extra springy, and they delivered — bouncy without being too dry. Unfortunately, the wantons weren’t as good as expected. The skin was on the thicker side, and the prawns inside were small. The dumplings were also a letdown — the ratio of wood ear (black fungus), prawn, and minced pork felt off, and all I could really taste was the wood ear. That said, I’d still come back just for the noodles — but next time, I’m going to try them with beef instead.

I always enjoy having a bowl of wanton noodles at this place. This time, I ordered a small bowl with braised beef tendon and dumplings. The portion was just right for me, since I don’t eat too much. The noodles were springy, the soup was flavorful, and the beef tendon was rich in taste. The dumplings were fresh and delicious as well. For drinks, I went with their honey lemon watercress — a real treat that’s freshly made in-house (not the packet version!)

The wantan mee is properly springy and becomes super addictive once you mix in the beef sauce. The beef brisket is well-braised and the flavours and texture really remind me of Macau where I had a similar good braised beef brisket.

Tried this place again today after only visiting once when they first opened. Their noodles are quite different from other shops. We ordered the beef brisket with dumpling noodle soup, and the wanton & dumpling sweet and sour pork noodle. The soup was very flavourful and rich, thanks to the beef brisket. As for the sweet and sour pork, it was just average for me. The wanton (3 pcs) and dumplings (2 pcs) were fresh, with nice prawn fillings, I liked those..
